Online Project - Discovering YOUR Place in History Since 1999

What will I (the teacher) do?

Please feel free to use our project in any way that suits your needs. You certainly don't have to complete all components of the project to utilize this website.

You may find that the online, printable Printable Data Input Handout and Printable Project Outline Handout help your students to complete the project in an organized manner. You might, instead, create your own handouts.

You might have all students complete the entire project, you might choose for them to research only certain links, or or you may assign different students to complete different sections of the project.

You may choose to use this project only within your classroom or you may join us in collaboration--even if you only report on ONE section of the project. If you will be using only one link you might be interested in allowing your students to become "real" authors by submitting their results to  The Day I Was Born Online History Book  .

The project includes several tools to enter student data which is published to the website BUT if you choose to use a different means of 'Putting It All Together' (online Power Point presentation, student created webpages, etc.) please feel free and also please let us know about this so that we can include a link to your students work or to a page which describes their results.

Thank you for your interest in this project. I welcome you to use it with your students and I invite you to join us in collaboration if you are able. If you decide to use the project I hope your students enjoy finding out what was going on in this world the day they were born.
