Week 12 Word Processing - Word Processing using the Tab, Space Bar, Enter key

Word Processing using the 'Tab', 'Space Bar', 'Enter' key

The 'Tab' key is used to indent paragraphs

The 'Space Bar' is used to put a space between words. Two spaces should be used between sentences (after a period, NO
SPACES SHOULD BE PLACED BEFORE A PERIOD OR COMMA).

The 'Enter' key is used in word processing to create line spacing or to bring the curser to a lower area in a page that has not yet
been accessed. PRESS ENTER TWICE TO CREATE A LINE SPACE BETWEEN PARAGRAPHS.

Graphics are pictures, photographs, drawings, illustrations, etc.

Text is letters and punctuation marks.

Word Processing software (such as Word Pad) is used to create and manipulate text. Graphic based software (such as Paint) is
used to create or manipulate graphics.

Graphics can be imported, inserted, or copied & pasted from graphics based software to text based software to create lively,
informative documents and reports.

Students multi-task, using Paint and Word Pad to create a document which includes illustrations.
